The safety requirements in vehicles continuously increase due to more automated functions using electronic components. Besides the reliability of components themselves, a reliable power supply is crucial for safe overall system. Different architectures consider lead battery as backup solution safety-critical applications. Various ageing mechanisms influence performance and have an impact on its reliability. In order qualify with specific failure modes use applications, it necessary prove this by rates. Previous investigations determine fixed rates batteries data from teardown analyses identify but did not include lifetime these examined. Alternatively, values replacements workshops without knowing reason were used time-dependent rate. This study presents method determining models investigating individual modes. Since are subject ageing, analysis different results magnitudes. develop shapes over time, which allows their behaviour be evaluated.
